1. What are the Meta Events
Meta Events are named like this because they are events used to control other events. For the moment, three types of Meta Events are available:
- Latched Enable
- Toggle Enable
- Preset Change
2. Latched & Toggle Enable
These events are used to control the state of activation of another events. Depending of the input value, these events will enable or disable the events set as targets.
For example, you can imagine that you deactivate only acceleration sensors of the Wiimote with the press of a button. The button would be configured with a Latched or Toggle Enable event with an acceleration parameter (e.g. pitch) as a value.
If the button has a 'latched' enable event, then pressing the button will invert the state of the target, and releasing the button will revert the action back to its previous state.
If the button has a 'toggled' enable event, then pressing the button will invert the state of the target, but it will take a release and another press to revert it to its previous state.
3. Preset Change
(more information on Presets here)
In the value column, select the "Previous Preset" or "Next Preset" values to make the current preset change in response to the input.
With these events, you can cycle through all the presets. That means that the next preset after the last one is the first one, and the previous preset before the first one is the last one. If the document contains only one preset, then no change will be performed.
Unlike other events, preset change events change when the input value goes from 1 to 0.
4. Syncing the preset number with the Wiimote LEDs
If you are using presets in your documents, then it could be more useful to see what is the current preset rather the identifier on the Wiimote's LEDs.
To sync the preset number with the Wiimote lights, check the box "Sync LEDs with Preset #" in the Wiimote drawer.
